Body Fat is suctioned out using fine canulas by the plastic surgeon. This procedure of Body Fat Removal Surgery is done under General Anesthesia. Technically it is termed as SAL : Suction Assisted Liposuction.

2. Ultrasonic Liposuction / Lipectomy Surgery / Liposculpture / Liposculpting / Lipoplasty Surgery In India, Mumbai, Goa, Delhi & Bangalore : Ultrasonic Waves / Ultrasound Energy is used to first loosen and break the fat cells and then Body Fat is suctioned out. This procedure of Body Fat Reduction Surgery is done under General Anesthesia. Technically it is termed as UAL : Ultrasonic Assisted Liposuction.

3. Vaser Liposuction / Lipectomy Surgery / Liposculpture / Liposculpting / Lipoplasty Surgery In India, Mumbai, Goa, Delhi & Bangalore : This is the latest version of Ultrasonic Liposuction and is done under Local Anesthesia and also under General Anesthesia.

4. Tumescent Liposuction / Lipectomy Surgery / Liposculpture / Liposculpting / Lipoplasty Surgery In India, Mumbai, Goa, Delhi & Bangalore : It is also referred to as Liposculpture, Lipoplasty. Prior to Body Fat Reduction Surgery some amount of medicinal fluid is injected in the designated area. This makes suction of fat cells easier and more comfortable for the patient in terms of pain, bleeding, bruising etc. Normally two techniques are used; 1. Wet Tumescent Liposuction and 2. Super Wet Tumescent Liposuction. Tumescent Liposuction is normally done under Local Anesthesia.

All the abovementioned techniques of fat reduction surgery can normally be used anywhere on full body. This is also true for full body liposuction. Except for Laser Liposuction all the above mention liposuction techniques whether they are termed as Vaser Liposuction or Tumescent Liposuction or Ultrasonic Liposuction or Normal Liposuction give more or less the same result in terms of body contouring and all of them involve suctioning out body fat to achieve contoured body. The incision is tiny, only a couple of mm and is hidden in body folds. Liposuction is a keyhole surgical procedure.
