First let us understand that both VARICOSE VEINS AND SPIDER VEINS are forms of Benign Vascular Lesions also referred to as UNSIGHTLY VEINS.
SPIDER VEINS : As the name itself suggests small veins stretching like a web under the skin from a dark central point are called Spider Veins. These are from Red to Purple in color and are believed to be caused by overexposure to sun. Spider Veins can occur on any part of the body – face, hands, feet etc.
VARICOSE VEINS : Twisted, enlarged & deformed veins are called Varicose Veins. Visually, Varicose Veins are because they are large, dark in color, and tend to bulge. The widening of veins occurs due to a weakness in the vein wall or problem with the valves that regulate the flow of blood which cause stagnation of blood rather then maintaining a good circulation. These Varicose veins can occur on any part of the body but most often they are found in the legs, commonly found along the inside of the leg, at the back of the calf and at the ankles under the skin. As age advances and veins weaken the chances of getting Varicose veins increases. It is a Myth that sitting with crossed legs will prevent varicose veins.

Period Of Treatment : |
A single sitting on an average should take about 30 to 60 minutes with zero down time ! The number of such sitting required will depend on the condition of the skin, age etc. which will be correctly assessed by the treating cosmetic surgeon. Normally there is no Post-operative discomfort. Common Temporary Symptoms with any Intense light therapy may surface immediately after the session like the skin may appear a little flushed etc. These will however soon subside.
