LIGHT TREATMENT –
LASER AND NON LASER (IPL) :
One of the best
treatments available is Treatment with Light. The affected skin is
exposed to controlled emissions of intense pulsed light (Lazer or Non
Laser (IPL) as the requirement may be). This Intense Light Energy is
absorbed by the targeted tissues in the layers of the skin and veins
carrying blood supply. The effect is younger looking hands. The
procedure is non-invasive meaning – no cuts, no wounds, no blood, no
pain, no stitches and no down time – one can resume work immediately!
The other Non Laser /
Intense Light Treatment options available are :
CHEMICAL TREATMENT :
Retinoids
: A slow, prolonged chemical formulation treatment might require use
infinitely to sustain the positive affects.
Alpha-Hydroxy Acids
: Another Chemical like retinoids having somewhat similar attributes in
terms of efficacy.
Bleaching Agents
: A Chemical Formulation to fade pigmented lesions, lentigines (age
spots). Slow in efficacy and normally requires prolonged use.
Hydroquinones
: Another Bleaching Broadspectrum Chemical formulation – combination of
hydroquinone, retinoid, low-potency steroid (Tri-Luma) and mequinol and
tretinoin solution (Solagé). Slow in efficacy and normally requires
prolonged use.
Microdermabrasion
: Skin Resurfacing using minute aluminum oxide crystals to achieve an
improved skin texture and more even pigmentation. Requires many
sittings.
Chemical Peels
: Chemical formulations used as peels / packs. The results depend on the
chemical composition of the peel and how it is used.
Cryotherapy
: This treatment employs the use of Liquid Nitrogen where in a process
of momentary freeze cycle is used.
SURGICAL TREATMENT
:
Deeper Irregularities
which cannot be addressed by Light or Chemical Treatment are addressed
through Invasive surgery. This also involves natural and inert implants.
For details you may contact us. To this point several options for
addressing the surface imperfections associated with aging hands have
been outlined. To address the deeper irregularities associated with
dermal atrophy and the loss of subcutaneous fat, a surgical approach is
required.
The treating Cosmetic
surgeon may also adopt a combination approach to treatment for efficient
and satisfactory achievement of aesthetic objectives.
